Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a busy ED patient population
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with acute illness or injury
• Administer medications, perform procedures and monitor patient responses per protocol
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and respirator requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN license (license/certificate verification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• TNCC certification and NIHSS competency (required)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen, respirator evaluation (fit test) and required immunizations
• Comfortable working a fast-paced emergency department and able to work every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Trauma and acute care nursing knowledge
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic health records
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with respiratory protection procedures and infection control standards
