Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day). Typical weekly schedule includes coverage across all days; Monday-Wednesday at Starkville Manor with two floating days to Winona Manor each week (exact float days vary).
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve function
- Document assessments, plans, and progress clearly and timely in the facility’s medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, case managers, and other rehab team members to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Train patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance during all treatments
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in Mississippi or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's/Master’s in PT considered if state-eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or must be obtained upon hire
- Experience in post-acute, long-term care, or outpatient rehabilitation preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Valid professional liability coverage as required by facility policies or credentialing
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable if state-eligible
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and mobility training
- Skilled in functional assessment, gait training, transfers, and assistive device recommendations
- Comfortable with documentation best practices and skilled clinical charting
- Ability to prioritize caseloads, manage time, and adapt treatment plans to patient needs
- Good clinical reasoning, patient education, and discharge planning capabilities
- Familiarity with common rehab equipment and safety protocols in post-acute settings
