Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related cath lab procedures
• Prepare patients pre-procedure: perform assessments, verify consents and review labs and imaging
• Monitor hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms and vascular access throughout procedures and during recovery
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, technologists and the cath lab team to ensure safe, efficient care
• Maintain strict sterile technique and equipment readiness for complex interventional cases including structural heart procedures
• Respond professionally and quickly to on-call activations and emergent situations
• Complete required documentation, competency checklists and participate in unit quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Cath lab experience required; structural heart experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification listed as required
• Willingness to complete facility-specific competency testing (Trinity skills checklist and specialty testing)
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including every 3rd weekend
• Pass required health screenings and background checks (fit test, PPD/IGRA, immunizations, drug screen)

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (education level not specifically stated in the job posting)

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab workflow
• Skilled in ECG interpretation and monitoring for arrhythmias
