Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess patient status, develop care plans, and communicate changes to the team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Current ACLS, PALS, or specialty certifications as required by the unit
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, professional, and dedicated to patient-centered care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing standards and protocols
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Strong IV therapy and medication administration skills
• Ability to manage acutely ill patients and escalate concerns appropriately
• Clear communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Good time management, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
