Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in a fast-paced emergency department to prioritize care effectively
• Stabilize and manage acute, critical, and trauma patients using evidence-based protocols
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions with precision and compassion
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely diagnostics and disposition
• Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and clear discharge instructions
• Participate in Trinity competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Adhere to infection control, fit testing, and facility-specific health screening requirements

Qualifications

• Current, verifiable Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
• Emergency nursing experience with demonstrated clinical judgment in acute care
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required
• TNCC certification required
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing, Trinity skills checklist, fit test, and required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Comfort managing trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and pediatric emergencies
• Experience using Epic for charting, orders, and communication
• Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, and time management
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-stakes situations
• Competency with standard ED procedures and life support protocols
