Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility policies and scope of practice
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document changes clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a culture of quality improvement and safety
• Support onboarding of travelers and help maintain continuity of care during transitions

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (Registered Nurse) in New Mexico — compact license accepted if applicable
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (LPN or RN experience welcomed)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred depending on unit
• Ability to pass required background and health screenings for travel assignments
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for Registered Nurses
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or certificate if applicable to role

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Basic troubleshooting and critical thinking in fast-paced environments
