Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the Maternal Fetal Medicine service line and provide strategic clinical leadership
- Provide expert consultative and management care for high-risk pregnancies
- Collaborate closely with OB/GYN Medical Directors, neonatologists, and administrative leaders in a dyad leadership model
- Develop and grow the regional MFM program, driving quality, service excellence and colleague engagement
- Oversee assigned offices and programs, ensuring achievement of clinical and operational goals
- Design and implement quality improvement initiatives and programmatic changes
- Mentor and teach medical students, residents and colleagues to build future clinical leaders
- Foster multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with completion of an OB/GYN residency and Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine (active; not accepting lapsed certification)
- Minimum of 5 years of post-training Maternal Fetal Medicine clinical practice
- 2+ years of leadership experience or equivalent leadership training highly preferred
- Must not be a new graduate; locum candidates not accepted
- Open to H1B candidates; J1 waiver candidates cannot be accepted
- Eligible for or holding an active Michigan medical license
- Ability to obtain and maintain malpractice coverage
Education
- MD or DO
- Completed Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Maternal Fetal Medicine and management of high-risk obstetrics
- Strong clinical leadership and program development skills
- Patient-centered care approach with excellent communication skills
- Experience collaborating with neonatology and multidisciplinary teams
- Background in quality improvement and clinical outcomes measurement
- Teaching and mentorship experience in medical education
- Administrative acumen and comfort with stewardship and operational oversight
