Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform image-guided breast procedures and diagnostic workups as needed
- Dictate clear, concise reports using PowerScribe and manage cases in PACS
- Ensure MQSA compliance, documentation, and quality assurance standards are met
- Collaborate with technologists, referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care
- Meet productivity expectations while maintaining high-quality patient-centered care
Qualifications
- MQSA-certified (required)
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Radiology
- State medical license in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain one promptly
- Experience interpreting screening and diagnostic mammography and performing breast procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC, PACS, and PowerScribe workflows
- Comfort working in a high-volume practice and meeting wRVU/productivity expectations
- Locum/contract experience and ability to start immediately preferred
Education
- MD or DO with completed Radiology residency
- Fellowship in Breast Imaging preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Screening and diagnostic mammography interpretation
- Breast imaging procedures and biopsy techniques
- MQSA regulations and quality assurance processes
- EPIC electronic medical record workflows
- PACS image management and review
- PowerScribe dictation and structured reporting
- Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Efficient case management in high-volume settings
