Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across XR, CT, MR, US, and nuclear medicine with accuracy and timeliness
• Provide expert reads for PET studies — proficiency in PET required
• Support emergency radiology needs with clear, concise, and prioritized reporting
• Deliver timely teleradiology reads while communicating critical results to clinical teams
• Contribute to a high-quality, high-volume practice while maintaining patient-centered care
• Collaborate with on-site clinicians and remote colleagues to optimize patient outcomes
• Document interpretations and clinical recommendations in the PACS/RIS system following organizational standards

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active state medical license or ability to obtain licensure in the required state(s)
• Proven proficiency reading PET studies (explicitly required)
• Experience with teleradiology workflows and remote PACS/RIS environments
• Comfort working in Emergency Radiology settings and handling high-priority cases
• Malpractice coverage or the ability to obtain required professional liability insurance
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• MD or DO with completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency (fellowship in a subspecialty optional)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in XR, CT, MR, US, NM and PET imaging modalities
• Experience in emergency/after-hours imaging and fast-turnaround reads
• Familiarity with teleradiology platforms, PACS, and structured reporting
• Understanding of clinical decision support and appropriate use criteria
• Ability to manage high volumes while maintaining diagnostic accuracy
• Comfort with wRVU-based productivity expectations and clinical documentation
