Location: Findlay, OH
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift). Full-time: on-site 3 days/week with 2 days remote (40 hours/week). Part-time option: on-site 2 days/week on the days the full-time physicist is remote, plus an additional half-day remote if needed (up to 20 hours/week).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and lead the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance and Safety Program, including policies, procedures, and staff support
- Manage and perform daily, monthly, and annual QA testing on linear accelerators, CT simulators, and treatment planning systems
- Oversee dosimetry operations, perform plan reviews, and ensure high-quality IMRT and advanced planning for each patient
- Commission and maintain HyperArc and stereotactic systems in treatment planning systems and manage related QA equipment
- Serve as the primary contact for equipment issues or downtime and coordinate preventive maintenance and calibrations
- Provide clinical physics consultations, lead weekly chart rounds, and ensure accurate documentation of QA activities and treatment records
- Act as radiation safety liaison during regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Coordinate with alternate physicists for coverage, manage vacation/illness schedules, and provide emergency consultation when needed
- Perform dosimetry functions when needed to ensure continuity of patient care
- Lead planning and implementation for new treatment modalities, accreditations, credentialing, and participation in RTOG protocols
Qualifications
- Experience in radiation oncology medical physics with hands-on QA, dosimetry, treatment planning, and commissioning
- Demonstrated experience with IMRT, SBRT, SRS, SRT, HyperArc, linear accelerators, and CT simulators
- Proven ability to administer and maintain treatment planning systems, MU calculation tools, and QA software
- Experience performing physics consultations, plan reviews, and high-dose treatment coverage
- Experience managing QA programs, regulatory compliance, and serving as a radiation safety liaison
- Comfort coordinating coverage across a team and providing emergency on-call consultation
- Credentialing and protocol experience, including participation in RTOG protocols and accreditation activities
- Designated Certified Radiation Expert for the center (or ability to serve in/obtain this designation)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of dosimetry and monitor unit calculations
- Expertise in treatment planning systems and advanced planning techniques
- Quality assurance and equipment calibration/maintenance experience
- Familiarity with stereotactic systems, HyperArc, and stereotactic planning workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and manage software updates/upgrades
- Understanding of radiation safety regulations and accreditation standards
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Teaching and mentorship skills to support clinical staff development
