Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT and MRI scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images for patient care
- Perform patient screening, safety checks and MRI-specific safety protocols
- Position patients and apply proper imaging protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Collaborate with radiologists and the multidisciplinary team to support timely diagnoses
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, logs and PACS/RIS image management
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and complete required skills checklists
- Help maintain equipment cleanliness and report any operational issues promptly
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to calm and inform patients
Qualifications
- BLS certification (required)
- License/certificate verification required
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty-specific competency testing required
- Ability and willingness to complete required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, TB testing, flu, varicella, fit test and drug screen)
- Experience operating CT and MRI modalities preferred; dual-modality experience a plus
- Strong patient care skills, professionalism, and effective communication
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with CT and MRI imaging protocols and patient positioning
- Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and image quality optimization
- Familiarity with MRI safety practices (ferromagnetic screening, implants, etc.)
- Radiation safety principles applicable to CT
- Comfort using PACS/RIS systems and documenting examinations
- Infection control practices and HIPAA-compliant patient handling
