Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 24/7 in-house coverage, rotating shifts including day and night coverage and weekends (specific shift start/end times vary by schedule; ongoing availability required)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care for unassigned patients
- Manage OB triage, admissions, labor & delivery and postpartum care with clinical confidence
- Respond emergently to L&D, antepartum, postpartum and ER consults to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate closely with Neonatology, nursing and other specialties for coordinated care
- Assist surgically as needed, including cesarean section assistance and operative support
- Cover private-call responsibilities when assigned and provide consistent in-house coverage
- Apply evidence-based clinical guidelines to drive excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Board certified in OB/GYN (explicitly sought in this role)
- MD or DO degree (physician-level training required)
- Experience in inpatient obstetrics, labor & delivery and triage (hospitalist or similar preferred)
- Ability to provide emergent clinical response in L&D/ER settings
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills working with nursing and specialty teams
- Eligible for or holding an active state medical license (KY licensure process support available)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in labor & delivery, antepartum and postpartum management
- Skilled in OB triage, admissions and inpatient obstetric care
- Experience assisting with cesarean sections and managing GYN emergencies
- Comfortable with ER consults and cross-departmental collaboration
- Familiarity with evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
