Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living to support resident comfort and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient status accurately to support care planning
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, mobility support, and positioning to reduce fall risk
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in patient charts and communicate changes to the care team
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, patient-focused communication
• Support a collaborative team environment and pitch in where needs arise to keep care seamless

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — T-CNA/travel-certified credentials a plus
• Valid CNA license in the state of West Virginia or ability to obtain state certification prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen and maintain required immunizations
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts, strong attendance, and a teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) and resident hygiene
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe resident transfer and lifting techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Clear documentation and basic charting skills
• Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs on busy shifts
