Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care including ventilator management and airway support to patients across care settings
- Perform assessment, monitoring, and treatment planning for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
- Administer therapeutic modalities and aerosolized treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases and make timely adjustments in collaboration with the care team
- Respond rapidly to critical situations and participate in emergency airway management and resuscitation efforts
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- CRT or RRT required
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Active state respiratory therapist license and ability to pass license/certificate verification
- Ability to pass Trinity 10 panel drug screen, background checks, and required health screenings
- Current immunizations and fit testing as listed in credential requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation modes and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with airway management and oxygen delivery systems
- Experience interpreting arterial blood gases and making clinical recommendations
- Solid documentation skills in electronic health records
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively
