Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical/telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and create clear, timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist to maintain clinical proficiency
• Support unit operations by helping with admissions, discharges, and patient education

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active, verifiable licensure (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Current health requirements: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella), 2-step PPD or IGRA, physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in cardiac telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Strong medical-surgical nursing knowledge and safe medication administration
• Competence with IV therapy, cardiac monitoring equipment, and emergency response
• Clear clinical documentation and effective use of electronic health records
• Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to follow unit-specific competency processes and checklists
