Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry and med-surg nursing care with compassion and precision
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly, applying ACLS interventions when needed
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments safely while documenting accurately in the chart
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth unit flow and positive patient outcomes
- Participate in competency testing and required training to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license with verification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications required as listed
- Experience in telemetry and med-surg nursing, comfortable with cardiac monitoring
- Ability to complete required pre-employment health screening and drug testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
- Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
- Clear documentation and electronic health record use
- Teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
- Familiarity with infection control and hospital safety practices
