Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography studies with accuracy and compassion to support patient care and provider decision-making
• Operate ultrasound and imaging equipment safely and maintain high image quality for clinical interpretation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to prioritize exams and ensure timely reporting
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC and complete required documentation promptly
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies including required screenings and checklists
• Participate in ongoing competency checks and professional development to keep skills current

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• ARDMS Cardiac or CCI Cardiac Sonography certification preferred
• RDCS and/or CPACS credentials are a strong plus
• Experience with EPIC or other major EMR systems preferred
• License/certification verification and successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist required prior to start
• Current immunizations and health screenings as listed (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, TB screening or IGRA, etc.)

Education

• Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography or diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent training
• Additional certifications (ARDMS/CCI/RDCS) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of echocardiography and cardiac sonography techniques
• Proficient in cardiac imaging protocols, measurements, and quality assurance
• Comfortable using EPIC for exam documentation and order management
• Ability to provide patient-centered care and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with hospital workflow, on-call duties, and bedside assessment
