Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and response to treatment
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to create and follow individualized care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity and independence
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation in the facility charting system
- Escalate clinical concerns promptly to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to advocate for residents
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Completed LPN diploma or vocational nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
- Comfortable performing resident assessments and charting clinical observations
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Able to work within an interdisciplinary team and follow care plans
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation best practices
