Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care for geriatric residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure hydration and nutrition needs are met
• Document resident care accurately and timely in facility records
• Work closely with the care team to create a safe, comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required or active eligibility
• Valid state-required background checks and health screenings
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working with older adults and demonstrating patience, empathy, and respect
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work the scheduled evening shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and safe transfer/mobility assistance
• Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
• Accurate documentation and basic charting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and work as part of an interdisciplinary team
