Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support mealtime service and hydration needs with attention to dietary requirements
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and families
• Build trusting relationships with residents through respectful communication and patience

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as part of onboarding
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Safe patient handling techniques and mobility assistance
• Good communication skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Able to follow care plans, document accurately, and escalate concerns
• Team-player mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced care setting
