Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility record system to maintain continuity and compliance
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote dignity and person-centered care
• Participate in assigned treatments and follow care plans to help residents achieve the best outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential valid for Vermont (and NH if applicable)
• Reliable personal transportation — must have your own vehicle to travel to shift locations
• Availability for every other weekend as part of the scheduled commitment
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements prior to first day

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident care skills and experience with ADLs
• Comfortable with vital signs, documentation, and basic clinical observations
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and facility policies consistently
• Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during shift
