Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility record system to maintain continuity and compliance
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote dignity and person-centered care
- Participate in assigned treatments and follow care plans to help residents achieve the best outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential valid for Vermont (and NH if applicable)
- Reliable personal transportation — must have your own vehicle to travel to shift locations
- Availability for every other weekend as part of the scheduled commitment
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements prior to first day
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident care skills and experience with ADLs
- Comfortable with vital signs, documentation, and basic clinical observations
- Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies consistently
- Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during shift
