Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Complete clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Support admissions, discharges, and care transitions with professionalism
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety practices

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (must be active or eligible for licensure in New Mexico)
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Travel nursing experience or T-LPN experience is a plus
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and charting accuracy
• Wound care basics and infection control practices
• Resident assessment and care planning
• Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage time during busy overnight shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork
