Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality clinical care to residents and patients in a skilled nursing and rehab setting
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient condition and intervene promptly for changes in status
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support patient progress and discharge goals
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
- Support facility quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with policies and regulations
- Respond effectively to urgent situations and prioritize patient safety at all times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or multi-state compact where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and/or other specialty certifications preferred
- Current clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is highly valued
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings for travel assignments
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and IV/infusion experience
- Wound care and rehab-focused nursing practices
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
