Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled bedside care to assigned patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and handoffs
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license for practice (Alabama license required or compact where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Previous LPN experience in acute care, long-term care, or med-surg preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Proficient in patient assessment and recognizing clinical changes
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work independently overnight and as part of a multidisciplinary team
