Shift Type: Day shifts, 12-hour schedule, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM; includes weekends and holidays. Primary day coverage with required floating between West (adult) and East (all-ages) campuses as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform ABGs and EKGs accurately and timely to guide patient care
• Manage ventilators (Avea, LTV, Zoll) and deliver advanced ventilator support
• Provide BiPAP and CPAP therapy and manage high-flow devices like Vapotherm/Optiflow
• Assist with intubations and support airway management in ER and ICU settings
• Deliver hands-on respiratory care in ER, ICU, CVICU and inpatient wards
• Document care precisely in Cerner and communicate changes to the care team
• Float between campuses and adapt to adult, pediatric and infant cases as needed
• Participate in department orientation and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) verification required (CRT acceptable as noted)
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, with adult critical care confidence
• Ability to assist with intubation and manage ventilators in acute care settings
• Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts including weekends and holidays
• Comfort charting in Cerner and working across multiple unit types (ER, ICU, CVICU, wards)

Education

• CRT verification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills (Avea, LTV, Zoll) and familiarity with V60/V30
• Hands-on experience with BiPAP, CPAP, SiPAP, Vapotherm and Optiflow
• Proficiency drawing ABGs and performing EKGs
• Adult critical care expertise and exposure to some pediatric/infant ER cases
• Ability to work in fast-paced acute care environments and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Charting experience with Cerner
