Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM; Night: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM), self-scheduling with weekends and holidays as needed — guaranteed 36 hours/week; will float to MedSurg/Pediatrics as required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality labor and delivery patient care, supporting moms through labor, delivery and recovery
- Stabilize and care for newborns in the Level I nursery, including initial assessments and transfer preparation
- Titrate IV drips safely (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate) and administer neonatal antibiotics as ordered
- Respond to C-sections in the OR when needed and transition to baby stabilization and nursery care
- Operate and interpret Electronic Fetal Monitoring (GE Corometrics) to guide clinical decisions
- Troubleshoot respiratory support like nasal cannula and CPAP for neonates and infants
- Document care thoroughly using Meditech and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to MedSurg/Pediatrics (and occasionally ER) to support unit needs and maintain clinical versatility
Qualifications
- Current RN license (eligible to work in North Dakota)
- BLS and NRP required prior to start
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Labor & Delivery, Nursery or relevant perinatal experience preferred)
- Comfortable titrating drips (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate) and providing newborn stabilization
- Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring and basic neonatal respiratory support (CPAP)
- Familiarity with Meditech charting or similar EHR systems
- Ability to float to MedSurg/Pediatrics and work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays
- Must meet facility onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, immunizations)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of labor & delivery processes, postpartum recovery, and newborn stabilization
- Skill with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (GE Corometrics) and fetal strip interpretation basics
- Proficiency in IV drip titration and neonatal medication administration
- Ability to perform newborn assessments and initial resuscitation/stabilization
- Comfortable using Meditech for documentation and handoffs
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and delegation skills in busy acute-care settings
- Adaptability to float between units and manage varying patient acuity
