Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts, 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM (NOC), every other weekend, 2 out of every 3 holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality triage and emergency care for adults and children in a fast-paced ER environment
- Interpret EKGs and activate STEMI and stroke pathways when indicated
- Perform procedural sedation and support critical interventions with 1:1 monitoring
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midlevels, monitor techs, and EMS to coordinate rapid, patient-centered care
- Float to the Pediatric ER as needed and manage pediatric emergencies with confidence
- Document care accurately in Cerner and complete required orientation education with the ER educator
- Support team-based care in fast track and triage areas, mentoring techs and LVNs when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active RN license (California) required
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS and NIHSS required
- Pediatric ER experience required for Peds shifts; ENPC or CPEN preferred
- Demonstrated EKG interpretation skills and STEMI/CVA care experience
- Must be eligible as an experienced traveler — no first-time travelers and no travel duos/teams
Education
- Current RN license (California)
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong EKG interpretation and STEMI recognition
- Stroke (CVA) assessment using NIHSS
- Procedural sedation and critical care support
- Comfortable with both adult and pediatric emergency presentations
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record
- Familiarity with Phillips monitors and working alongside monitor techs
- Trauma and burn triage and coordination with specialty resources
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and EMS collaboration skills
