Roles & Responsibilities

• Sedate patients and safely manage procedural sedation for Cath Lab and IR cases
• Circulate during cases — coordinate the room, patient flow, and patient safety
• Collaborate closely with Cath Lab/IR techs and physicians for smooth, efficient procedures
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications (30-minute response time) and provide reliable coverage
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Cerner
• Participate in minimal unit-specific orientation and jump into patient care confidently
• Provide compassionate, acute-care nursing during EP and peripheral interventions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to work in California)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience — Cath Lab/acute care experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Demonstrated experience with sedation and circulating in the Cath Lab (must-have)
• Ability to respond to calls within a 30-minute window and cover ~10-15 calls/month
• Comfortable working with Cerner EMR

Education

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California
• BSN: Not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Cardiac Cath Lab and IR workflows
• Comfort with electrophysiology (EP) and peripheral interventions
• Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring and airway/patient safety
• Proficient with Cerner charting and acute care documentation
• Team-oriented communication with physicians and Cath Lab techs
• Familiarity with infection control, patient monitoring, and emergency protocols
