Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (10-hour day shifts, 4x10s); occasional Saturday 1-2 times per month; call shifts averaging 4-5 per month. Day shift.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled pre-operative and PACU care for interventional radiology patients, ensuring safe preparation for procedures
- Monitor and recover patients after conscious sedation and general anesthesia with vigilant assessment and documentation
- Manage telemetry and ventilated patients when required, collaborating closely with RT and intensivists
- Perform and support vascular access procedures including PICC and difficult IV starts alongside the IV team
- Assist in a wide range of Body IR procedures such as chemoembolization, Y-90, ablations, angiography and CT/US-guided biopsies
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating care with IR techs, CT, nuclear medicine and other departments
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain clear communication and patient safety
- Adhere to Level I trauma protocols and contribute to high-acuity patient management when needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Arizona (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; IR RN preferred or ICU RN with IR experience considered
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred if available
- Level I trauma experience required
- Experience with conscious sedation recovery and general anesthesia recovery
- Comfortable with telemetry and ventilator management
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts, occasional weekends and scheduled call shifts
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- Associate degree or diploma in Nursing accepted; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures: angiography, vascular access, IVC filters, chemoembolization and Y-90
- Skill in pre-op/PACU nursing and post-procedural assessment
- Competence in telemetry monitoring and ventilator troubleshooting
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
- IV skills including PICC coordination and difficult IV starts
- Familiarity with CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsy workflows
- Understanding of nuclear medicine basics and peri-procedural safety
- Strong critical thinking, delegation and team communication in high-acuity settings
