Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to spinal, neuro, trauma, and surgical patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation, medication administration records, and coordinated care planning
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, therapists, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond rapidly to trauma situations, perform bedside interventions, and escalate care as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, complete skills checklists, and ensure certification documentation is current
Qualifications
- Current RN license with Nursys license verification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro, Spinal, Trauma, or Surgical specialties
- EPIC experience required — must note EPIC on your profile
- Current BLS required; specialty certifications encouraged (please provide certification card)
- Complete candidate profile with resume/work history (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, references, and badge-appropriate photo
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with spinal care and neuro/trauma patient populations
- Comfort managing surgical patients and post-operative care
- Experience treating gunshot wounds and complex trauma scenarios
- Skilled in care for quadriplegia and paraplegia patients
- Proficient in EPIC charting and electronic documentation workflows
- Strong critical thinking, triage, and interdisciplinary communication skills
