Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document nursing care and maintain clear, timely charting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Support a smooth new-opening transition and help set high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
• LPN candidates may be considered depending on facility needs
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in long-term care or acute care preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Education

• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of medication administration and documentation
• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and point-of-care charting
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family communication
