Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults in a psychiatric program
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
• Provide individual and group therapy focused on recovery, coping skills, and behavioral management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Document treatment progress, assessment findings, and clinical recommendations accurately and timely
• Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and quality improvement activities
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments when urgent clinical needs arise

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Licensed Psychologist in California or eligible for California licensure
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in mental health; experience in forensic or correctional settings is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and therapy skills with adults
• Clean background check and ability to work in a secure facility
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) required/preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in psychological assessment tools and diagnostic interviewing
• Experience delivering evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, or similar approaches)
• Solid documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting best practices
• Ability to manage crisis situations and perform risk assessments
• Skilled at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and correctional staff
• Cultural competence and trauma-informed care principles
