Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, functional mobility, and independence
• Document progress clearly and timely, communicating outcomes and plan adjustments with the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, holistic care
• Educate patients and caregivers with practical strategies to improve function and reduce barriers at home and in the community
• Adapt interventions for a float assignment across locations within the facility as needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR or equivalent) in Maryland or ability to obtain state licensure
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Active OT registration from NBCOT preferred
• Prior experience in inpatient or post-acute care preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
• Professional, empathetic communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent accredited degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment planning for activities of daily living and adaptive equipment
• Proficient with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving for complex patients
• Ability to provide safe transfers and mobility training
• Knowledge of assistive technology and home modification principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and caregiver education
