Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to patients in a correctional psychiatric program
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress with clarity and clinical rigor
- Deliver individual and group therapy focused on mental health stabilization and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Participate in training and case-review meetings during the initial two-week onboarding
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist in California or eligible for state licensure (license requirements may vary by role)
- Experience working in mental health settings; forensic or correctional psychiatry experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable with assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to work the scheduled days and hours: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and correctional staff
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR preferred if required by the facility
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; master’s-level candidates may be considered where applicable

- Clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation
- Individual and group therapy techniques
- Risk assessment and crisis intervention
- Forensic/behavioral health familiarity and safety protocols
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and reporting
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and case coordination
