Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological services to patients in a correctional psychiatric program
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress with clarity and clinical rigor
• Deliver individual and group therapy focused on mental health stabilization and rehabilitation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
• Participate in training and case-review meetings during the initial two-week onboarding
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist in California or eligible for state licensure (license requirements may vary by role)
• Experience working in mental health settings; forensic or correctional psychiatry experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable with assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions
• Ability to work the scheduled days and hours: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and correctional staff
• Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR preferred if required by the facility

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; master’s-level candidates may be considered where applicable

• Forensic/behavioral health familiarity and safety protocols
• Clear, timely clinical documentation and reporting
