Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional status and develop individualized treatment plans to restore movement and reduce pain
- Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques to improve mobility and independence
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Monitor and modify treatment plans based on patient response and clinical judgment
- Maintain safety and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington state or eligible for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT, or equivalent)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Clinical experience in physical therapy preferred; travel experience is a plus
- Strong documentation and patient communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Master's/Bachelor's in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Skilled in gait training, balance training, and manual therapy techniques
- Comfortable with inpatient and outpatient rehab workflows
- Familiarity with EMR documentation and productivity expectations
- Excellent clinical reasoning, time management, and team collaboration skills
- Patient-centered communication and education techniques
