Candidate Pay Rate: $182 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care assessments, preventive services, and chronic disease management for adult patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions with evidence-based care
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with behavioral health and facility staff to ensure safe, integrated treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitor treatment response, and adjust therapy as needed
- Document patient encounters thoroughly in the electronic health record and maintain accurate clinical notes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuity of care activities
Qualifications
- Active California medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- MD or DO degree from an accredited program
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain DEA registration
- BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience in primary care, correctional health, or substance use disorder settings is a strong plus
Education
- MD or DO (required)
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in adult primary care and chronic disease management
- Clear, compassionate patient communication and cultural sensitivity
- Familiarity with substance use disorder care and coordination with behavioral health teams
- Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting thoroughly
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
- Good time management and organization to run efficient clinic sessions
