Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychosocial and clinical assessments to understand client needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy for psychiatric populations
- Deliver crisis intervention and risk management when urgent situations arise
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality
- Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the medical record
- Advocate for patients' needs and support linkage to community resources
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential required
- Active license to practice in California required
- Experience working in mental health or psychiatric settings preferred
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work the required full-time schedule (primary Mon-Thu)
- Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams
Education
- Master of Social Work (MSW) required
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation
- Psychotherapy techniques for serious mental illness and comorbid conditions
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
- Care coordination and case management best practices
- Familiarity with psychiatric treatment planning and medication management concepts
- Accurate clinical documentation and use of electronic health records
