Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-informed psychological assessment and treatment for adults with mental health and substance use needs
• Deliver individual and group therapy interventions tailored to the forensic/substance abuse population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility policies for care and reporting
• Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support a recovery-oriented environment through client education and skills-building

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist (PSY) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — PSY/LMFT/LPCC/LCSW explicitly needed
• Experience or strong interest in mental health and substance abuse treatment
• Ability to work the posted weekday schedules and provide reliable coverage
• Current, active license in good standing (per facility requirements)
• Willingness to pass required background checks and comply with facility credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and individualized treatment planning in mental health and substance use
• Evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing) applied to forensic/substance abuse settings
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Strong documentation skills and knowledge of confidentiality standards
• Collaborative communication with interdisciplinary teams and facility staff
• Cultural humility and the ability to engage diverse patient populations
