Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based psychological services to adults in a correctional mental health setting
- Conduct clinical assessments, diagnostics, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver individual and group therapy while maintaining clear, accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Participate in and lead trainings as needed to support staff development and continuity of care
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and communicate care goals with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Active Psychologist license (PSY/PSYL) or licensed clinician credentials such as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
- Willingness and ability to complete a 1–2 week training period at the start of assignment
- Experience or interest in mental health work in institutional, forensic, or correctional settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case management skills
- Comfort working collaboratively with security and multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (for Psychologist) or relevant master’s degree for LMFT/LCSW/LPCC
- State licensure in the appropriate discipline
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in evidence-based therapies and treatment planning
- Proficient with clinical assessment tools and mental health diagnostics
- Effective crisis intervention and stabilization techniques
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and reporting
- Ability to train others and support onboarding
