Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality individual and group mental health services to the assigned population
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and create treatment plans that drive real outcomes
- Deliver training during a 1-2 week onboarding period and support ongoing staff development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Support quality improvement efforts and participate in case reviews as needed
Qualifications
- Active license as PSYL / LMFT / LCSW / LPCC (must be current and in good standing)
- Ability to complete a 1-2 week training/onboarding period as required
- Comfort working in a correctional facility setting and passing required background checks
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical teams
Education
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field (as required by license)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and diagnosis in adult mental health
- Trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques
- Group and individual therapy modalities relevant to correctional populations
- Clear, compliant clinical documentation and treatment planning
- Ability to train and mentor peers during onboarding and ongoing education
