Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-informed psychotherapy and clinical interventions for adults
• Conduct diagnostic assessments, risk evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote safety and rehabilitation
• Collaborate with custody staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters and maintain accurate, timely records
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization when needed
• Participate in orientation and training, mentoring newer clinicians when appropriate

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR LMFT OR LPCC — active/valid in California or eligible
• Current, unrestricted license required prior to clinical autonomy
• Experience in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and individual/group therapy
• Comfort working in secure/correctional settings preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and facility-required clearances
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) for Psychologist
• Master’s degree (e.g., MSW, MFT) for LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC clinicians

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of mental health diagnoses, evidence-based therapies, and psychotropic interventions
• Skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques
• Proficient clinical documentation and case formulation
• Ability to work effectively in high-structure environments and with diverse adult populations
• Strong ethical practice, boundary setting, and confidentiality adherence
