Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy for adults with mental health and substance use needs
• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and intake evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on recovery and measurable outcomes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and case notes in line with facility standards
• Participate in training during the onboarding week to align with facility protocols and practices
• Contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment and promote best practices in behavioral health

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted California Psychologist license, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment preferred
• Ability to work the posted schedule (Mon-Thu 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and attend the training week (Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Good clinical documentation skills and ability to work in a team-based setting
• Willingness to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in Psychology for Psychologist roles; or
• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field for LMFT/LPCC candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities and substance abuse treatment approaches
• Skilled in conducting mental health and substance use assessments
• Familiarity with treatment planning, crisis intervention, and risk assessment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Comfortable with structured documentation and compliance standards

This is an 18-week registry assignment at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran.
