Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adults in a psychiatric program
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that produce measurable progress
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to support recovery and stability
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and custody staff to coordinate holistic care
- Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment with clear, timely documentation
- Maintain accurate, timely records and complete required clinical paperwork to support continuity of care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to program development
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist in California (or eligible for California licensure) preferred
- Experience providing clinical services in psychiatric or forensic settings preferred
- Demonstrated experience with psychological assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapies
- Ability to work the posted schedules (10-hour and 8-hour shift options) and maintain reliable attendance
- Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; applicable advanced degree and licensure considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and diagnostic formulation
- Individual and group psychotherapy skills with adult psychiatric populations
- Risk assessment and crisis intervention
- Treatment planning and progress measurement
- Proficient clinical documentation and electronic health record use
- Ability to work effectively in a secure or correctional psychiatric environment
