Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and create individualized occupational therapy plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment interventions to improve independence in ADLs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve patient-centered goals
• Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home modifications, and equipment use
• Monitor and modify treatment plans based on patient response and changing needs
• Advocate for patients to ensure safe transitions of care and optimal rehabilitation outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in California (OTR/L)
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or OTD preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred, especially in rehabilitation or post-acute care
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
• Comfort with floating to nearby locations (weekend float to Bellaken as needed)

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or entry-level OTD from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL and IADL assessment and training
• Experience with therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and splinting techniques
• Proficient with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing, PT, SLP, and case management
