Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed PT
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility and ADL training
- Monitor and document patient response to treatment and report changes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and comply with facility policies
Qualifications
- Active or eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license for New Mexico (NM)
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Previous PTA experience in outpatient/rehab settings preferred
- Ability to work all scheduled days (Sunday through Saturday coverage required)
- Agencies must have NM caregivers account as noted in facility requirements
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-handling and therapeutic exercise skills
- Familiarity with mobility aids, modalities and documentation standards
- Good clinical judgment and ability to follow PT care plans
- Effective communication and patient education skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
