Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based physical therapy interventions under the supervision of the treating therapist
- Assist with patient assessments, document progress, and communicate changes to the clinical team
- Implement therapeutic exercises, functional training, and modalities to help patients regain mobility and independence
- Monitor patients closely for safety and progress, modifying treatments as directed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies to support recovery
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create coordinated, patient-centered care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification appropriate for New Mexico
- Active NM caregivers account required for agencies
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and functional training
- Familiarity with mobility aids, gait training, and transfers
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments and document clinical progress
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and following facility protocols
- Good clinical judgment, safety awareness, and patient education skills
