Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions to help patients improve mobility and function
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of the supervising physical therapist with compassion and clinical precision
- Document patient progress and communicate changes clearly to the care team
- Assist with gait training, therapeutic exercises, and use of adaptive equipment to maximize independence
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safety to support ongoing recovery
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and facility staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Float to Langdon Place of Keene as needed to support continuity of services across sites
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- Completion of an accredited PTA program and current certification or licensure documentation
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Experience working with adult or geriatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and assistive device instruction
- Skilled documentation and familiarity with standard electronic medical records
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and patient-handling techniques
- Ability to adapt treatments to individual patient goals and functional levels
- Comfort floating between nearby facilities and quickly integrating into established teams
