Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day). Alternate schedule options available: Tuesday-Friday or Friday-Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day); possible 7:30 AM start times on some rotations.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessment and diagnostic services to patients in a psychiatric program
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and safety
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions tailored to forensic/psychiatric populations
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and manage risk
- Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning clearly and timely
- Participate in rounds, case conferences, and program development to improve patient outcomes
- Supervise and mentor trainees or junior clinicians when applicable
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist in California (or eligible for CA licensure) — active license preferred
- Experience working in psychiatric or correctional psychiatric programs preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with adult populations
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team in an institutional psychiatric setting
- Valid DEA/state controlled substance registration if applicable to role responsibilities
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; or as required by facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in psychological assessment techniques and standardized testing
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
- Familiarity with risk assessment, crisis intervention, and behavior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication for documentation and team collaboration
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches for forensic or high-acuity psychiatric populations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a clinical caseload
