Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessment and diagnosis for patients in a psychiatric program
• Deliver individual and group therapy interventions tailored to patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement treatment plans
• Conduct risk assessments and apply evidence-based crisis intervention strategies
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in the patient record
• Advocate for patient-centered care and participate in program improvement activities
• Supervise or mentor trainees and contribute to professional development initiatives

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Licensed Psychologist in California or eligible for state licensure
• Experience in mental health or psychiatric program settings, ideally with adult populations
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and psychotherapy skills
• Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team and handling crisis situations
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification if required by facility policies

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychological testing, assessment, and evidence-based interventions
• Strong clinical documentation and case formulation abilities
• Experience with behavioral health treatment planning and implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and cultural competence
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical workflows
• Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize patient safety
