Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, cognition and swallowing needs and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapy with clear, measurable goals that drive progress
- Document treatment, progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and on time
- Collaborate closely with therapists, nurses and caregivers to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Educate families and staff on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and participate in discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations and professional standards
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain licensure in NM
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Active NM caregivers account for agencies (required per facility notes)
- Professional liability insurance as required by facility or agency
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional and compassionate bedside manner
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in speech, language, cognition and swallowing assessment and intervention
- Knowledge of evidence-based SLP techniques and therapeutic modalities
- Experience with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and train caregivers
- Strong organizational skills and time management for caseload balance
